Awarded annually to the man who, in the opinion of the judges,
most exemplifies hypocrisy today.

Al Gore thought he was doing something beneficial for the environment when he and other environmentalist groups protested the logging industry in the Pacific Northwest. They rallied, carried placards, chained themselves to trees, and did anything else one might find at a protest. They went on about how the evil industry was destroying the earth by cutting down those trees, which were home to the endangered Spotted Owl. The rally ended peacefully, but the story didnt end there.
A few weeks later, Al Gore made headlines when he bought a splendid log cabin made exclusively of the beautiful trees in the very area in which he and others protested.

Nominations do not necessarily have to be politicians, but politicians are obviously the most qualified for this award.
